Dear Students,
Our faculty was established in 2009 and began admitting students in the 2010-2011 academic year. Our faculty includes the Departments of Wood Products Industrial Engineering, Information Systems Engineering, and Energy Systems Engineering.
As the Faculty of Technology, we strive to cultivate highly qualified, idealistic, research-oriented, inquisitive, problem-solving, and analytically thinking individuals who are equipped with the knowledge, skills, and competencies required by the contemporary era. Our aim is to create a workforce with high practical skills that our country needs.
Our faculty focuses on applied education with extensive use of technology, including laboratories and other technological equipment. In this context, we continuously update our academic and physical infrastructure, as well as our curriculum.
Unlike traditional engineering faculties, our departments follow a 7+1 education model. In this model, students take theoretical and practical courses for the first seven semesters, and in the final semester, they participate in the “Workplace Training” course. During this last semester, our students engage in full-time, uninterrupted work experience, allowing them to gain firsthand knowledge of the professional environment, become familiar with current technological advancements, and introduce themselves to potential employers. This way, our students can address many issues such as job searching and workplace adaptation before graduation, resulting in quick employment in the industry.
After completing their four-year education, our students graduate with the title of engineer and possess the same rights and privileges as graduates of other engineering faculties.
We would like to assure our current and future students, as well as our alumni, that we are always by their side, supporting them under our “Next Generation Engineering” philosophy.
With Love and Respect,
Prof. Dr. Mehmet ÇOLAK
Dean of the Faculty of Technology
